Puncture
2008
Paint marker on paper
38 x 25 inches

Puncture is an image of a window in the German Chancellery building painted on delicate Japanese hand-made paper. This window could have been the place where the German chancellor would greet the public. Adolf Hitler was photographed on many occasions while standing in a window of the building. The title identifies the window as a point of weakness and the transparent paper creates an inverted effect.
